DoseLab summary

Protocol paper for an Australian and Danish phase 2 trial of liver SBRT with kilovoltage intrafraction monitoring. Its supplementary tables (Additional file 1) give organ constraints for HCC (5 fractions) and for liver metastases (3 and 5 fractions), and liver limits — including an HCC liver-mean limit for each prescription and a minimum volume of liver kept below 15 Gy. The constraints were adapted from existing recommendations and trials including UK CORE, RTOG 1112 and NRG BR001. DoseLab read the supplementary tables.

Why this is useful

Open-access liver SBRT organ tables for HCC and for 3- and 5-fraction metastasis treatment, including central hepatobiliary tract limits and HCC liver-mean limits that scale with the prescription.
